ASK ME ANYTHING: WHAT'S MISSING FROM MY MEMOIR?

What's Missing?

She asked, "What's missing from my memoir? Can you help me?"

I was honored to take a look, but I was sad to tell her what I found.

How about you? Do you know something's missing from or wrong with your memoir, but you just can't put your finger on what it is?

If so, watch our video below for an example and a suggestion.

We'd love to hear from you! What question can we answer for you? Please leave a comment or another question below, and we'll answer you in a future episode of Ask Me Anything About Your Legacy of Love.

  1. YES! Powerful to include self and own motivations. It’s how I connect with things I read, and I hope I’m doing enough in my book about touch for people to connect with me as well!

    • Thanks, Dawn. Be authentic and don’t be afraid to be vulnerable and you will “do enough” in your book. Good luck with your book!

  2. Great tips here! I think of it as a protective mechanism when we don’t want to share how we feel, personal past example, so I can relate. Good advice on how the others may be really wanting to know anyway. Thank you!

    • Yes, Elda! It’s definitely a protective mechanism. That’s why I think it’s so important to work with someone or a group to help you through those tough stories. Thanks for your feedback.

  3. Great video. Your observation that our story needs to be “personalized “ definitely hits home.
I am trying to include MY THOUGHTS FEELINGS AND ACTIONS…. Into my story.

Thanks for the prompts and encouragement!
